Weekend mornings in The Burrow

Mornings are a central part of Burrow Life, and weekend mornings especially important. Breakfasts are always taken in bed, with the Burrow inhabitants taking it in turns to prepare it (Treacle is excused this responsibility due to the lack of opposable thumbs and being quite thick. Semi-permanent residents are also excused as they rarely see the morning)

Weekend breakfasts require a little extra work, and this morning it's Rachel's turn to don the bicycle clips and head to Tesco. Essential purchases will include The Times and chocolate and/or almond croissants. We usually take the whole weekend to read The Times, not because we are illiterate (obviously Treacle does struggle with the Matthew Paris column, but we give her a hand) but because "that's what we do". The whole point being to extend the period between waking and doing anything from the normal 2 hours to at least 3 (preferably all day if circumstances allow)

This morning will also see us trying out our DVD-by-post experiment, with In America on the DVD player. If only weekend mornings could go on forever.
