A useful bit of research

We made a long-overdue visit to see the lovely Ms Ashby today to glean any wisdom we could on this whole home improvement lark, as she and her boyfriend Mark have been there (and back). Key tips picked up;
1. When they say it will take 3 months it is shorthand for "it could take 2 years"
2. Neighbours can get nervous if you knock a hole in their wall
3. There are some real craftsmen left in the world
4. An extension with 14 No. 6m long foundation pilings is quite stable
5. It is absolutely, totally worth it

The whole visit has made us quite excited and buzzing with ideas. Roll on the survey!
